Video Resource: Master Class in Financial Education with Yanely Espinal, Amanda Lucero and Tony Montgomery
Three amazing educators featured in this Master Class Series produced by Discovery Education.
NGPF's Yanely Espinal on harnessing the power of your own financial experiences: Drawing on her personal experiences, Yanely’s stories of being self-taught and the dangers of a lack of financial education are powerful as she discusses her current approach to supporting financial education efforts across the country
NGPF Fellow Amanda Lucero on connecting personal finance and social emotional learning: As a strong advocate for mental health and well-being, Amanda shares her strategies around making connections between finances, emotions, and relationships.
NGPF Fellow Tony Montgomery on making personal finance culturally relevant: His philosophy behind teaching about money is that it’s important to meet kids "where they’re at" and then take them "where you want them to go."

About the Author
Tim Ranzetta
Tim's saving habits started at seven when a neighbor with a broken hip gave him a dog walking job. Her recovery, which took almost a year, resulted in Tim getting to know the bank tellers quite well (and accumulating a savings account balance of over $300!). His recent entrepreneurial adventures have included driving a shredding truck, analyzing executive compensation packages for Fortune 500 companies and helping families make better college financing decisions. After volunteering in 2010 to create and teach a personal finance program at Eastside College Prep in East Palo Alto, Tim saw firsthand the impact of an engaging and activity-based curriculum, which inspired him to start a new non-profit, Next Gen Personal Finance.
