• Conference helps Holmen teacher enhance money management curriculum (La Crosse Tribune):

A Holmen High School business teacher recently had the opportunity to acquire more tools for guiding her students in money management. Amy McCutchen received a scholarship to attend the 2016 Jump$tart National Educator Conference Nov. 5-7 in Dallas, Texas.

• Career prep classes to become requirement at LUHS (Lakeland Times):

Two guests joined the Lakeland Union High School Curriculum committee on Dec. 15 to pitch their idea of expanding career planning classes for students. Family and consumer science teacher Stephanie Hartzheim and business education teacher Tammy Hagman presented the idea to the committee to make these classes a requirement come the 2017-18 school year.

• Hopewell Announces Exciting New Courses for Next Year (MercerMe):

Hopewell Valley Central High School is adding four new courses that will be available in the 2017-2018 school year. They are Zoology, Statistical Reasoning in Sports and Media, Game Theory and Mathematical Recreation, and Financial Algebra.
