Jasmine’s background in peace and conflict studies and years of experience in the impact investing space allow her to bring a fresh and powerful perspective to the conversation around money.

“Financial activism,” she explains, “is just about taking stock of your own life and the realities of your own unique situation and understanding how you can align resources with movements for social justice.”

Centered on this idea, Jasmine’s work challenges us to think beyond individual budgeting and saving. She asks us to be more conscious of the financial decisions we make everyday, and to consider how they can either reinforce or resist the systems that shape economic inequality.

With this approach, Jasmine is able to reimagine financial literacy as something far more influential: a means of reclaiming agency in a system that often feels untouchable.
