Curriculum Announcements: Financial Pitfalls is Moving
Updated 9/8/21
You may have seen our latest email campaign announcing some exciting new curriculum we're working on, but we also wanted to give you a heads up about another change that is happening this summer:
The Financial Pitfalls Unit is moving!
WHAT does this mean?
We'll be moving specific lessons from the Financial Pitfalls Unit (currently Unit 8 in the Full Year Course) to other units in the course, such as Types of Credit, Managing Credit, Budgeting, etc. Any lessons that are not moved will be retired and available for a temporary period of time in case you want to access them.
This also means that the NGPF Activities, Data Crunches, Questions of the Day, etc. in the Financial Pitfalls unit will move to these other units based on the content they cover.
WHY the move?
1. We're moving lessons to the units that educators have told us they typically include them in, so this move will make it so. much. easier. to find the lessons you need when you need them.
2. You may have heard already but (drumroll please) ... we're releasing a NEW Behavioral Economics Unit later this summer! This unit will be the "new" Unit 8 in the NGPF Full Year Course.
WHEN is the move?
You'll notice these changes happening in August 2021.
HOW will I know which unit a lesson moved to?
We'll be publishing a follow-up blog post with more details once all the changes have taken place. You'll know exactly which lesson has moved to which unit.
We hope this update is helpful as you are planning your curriculum for the upcoming school year! Be on the lookout for emails from the curriculum team throughout the summer announcing new upcoming releases.
